Four parked cars damaged by fires in Glen Burnie

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Anne Arundel County fire officials are investigating four car fires in a residential neighborhood in Glen Burnie yesterday morning.

Neighbors called 911 about 5 a.m. after seeing a parked car in flames in the 100 block of First Ave., said Capt. Michael Cox, a spokesman for the county Fire Department. Investigators later found three other parked vehicles that had been damaged by fires.

The total damage is estimated at $4,000, Cox said.

Investigators think the incidents are linked but offered no other details yesterday.

Cox asked anyone with information to call the department's tip line at 410-222-TIPS.
