Michaeletti Angelo Sharron Joseph Alexander, a security guard and former Baltimore police officer, died of pneumonia Saturday at Bon Secours Hospital. The West Baltimore resident was 33.
Born in Baltimore and raised in Forest Park, he was a 1987 graduate of Forest Park High School, where he was on the wrestling, lacrosse, football and baseball teams. He also was a martial arts enthusiast.
He joined the Baltimore Police Department about 15 years ago. Ill health forced him to leave the force and become a security guard, working for several years at the Department of Social Services building.
Services were held Wednesday at Open Bible House of Prayer Baptist Church, where he was a member.
Survivors include a son, Damonte Alexander, a daughter, Diamond Alexander, his parents, Michael Alexander and Wendy Tisdale, and a brother, Waye Allen III, all of Baltimore; and 10 half-sisters.
