Baltimore City

Northeastern District

Arrest: Gregory Hamlett, 21, of the 3400 block of Erdman Ave. was arrested during the weekend on a warrant charging him with first-degree murder in the shooting June 22 of Jermar Poole, 20, outside the victim's home in the 5300 block of Leith Road.

Southern District

Arrest: Members of the Warrant Apprehension Task Force arrested George Tyler, 25, in Linthicum Heights yesterday on a warrant charging him with attempted murder in the shooting June 24 of John Knowlton, 41, in the 2600 block of Kent St. Tyler, of the 600 block of Cherrycrest Road in Cherry Hill, is being held at Central Booking and Intake Center.

Robbery: A boy, 15, was counting his money while walking in the 1200 block of Cleveland St. about 1:30 a.m. Sunday when he was attacked by two men and robbed of $48.

Central District

Theft from vehicle: Tools valued at $1,500 were stolen Sunday from a 2000 Dodge van parked in the 1300 block of St. Paul St.

Southeastern District

Arrest: Brian Acree, 16, of the 2500 block of Garrett Ave. was arrested during the weekend on a warrant charging him as an adult with attempted murder in the shooting July 11 of Maurice Johnson, 19, of the 1900 block of E. Lanvale St. The incident occurred in the 500 block of N. Robinson St.

Assault: Police were seeking at least two men who attacked a man, 30, in the 600 block of S. Broadway about 2 a.m. Sunday, striking him with their fists and kicking him in the head and body. The victim suffered a fractured skull and other injuries and was in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Southwestern District

Stabbing: A man, 34, was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being stabbed in the back several times Sunday night by another man in the 2200 block of Ramsay St.

Baltimore County

Essex Precinct

Carjacking: Two men were seated in a 1998 Lexus GS300 parked in the 700 block of Pine Branch Place about 2:20 a.m. Sunday when two men armed with shotguns forced them out and rode off in the vehicle. The car, without its tires and wheels, was recovered later in the Holabird Industrial Park.

Parkville Precinct

Robbery/arrest: A 22-year-old man was arrested Saturday and charged with robbing a boy, 16, of $83 and a cellular phone earlier that day in the 2500 block of Putty Hill Ave. Charged with robbery, theft and assault was Kenneth Kessler of the 7300 block of Edsworth Road. A second man was being sought.

Burglary: Power tools valued at $500 were stolen Sunday from a garage in the 10000 block of Lodge Road.

Garrison Precinct

Robbery: A gunman entered Wendy's in the 10100 block of Reisterstown Road about 2:25 a.m. Sunday and forced an employee to give him money from the cash register. The gunman also robbed an employee of the keys to a maroon Dodge Stratus and drove away in the vehicle.

Vandalism: Between July 18 and Sunday, someone entered the county's newest police station under construction in the 600 block of Nicodemus Road and poured paint throughout the building. The building is set to open in the fall.

Robbery: A man was smoking a cigarette outside the AMF Bowling Center in the 4100 block of Deer Park Road about 12:05 a.m. Sunday when four men robbed him of his wallet containing an undisclosed sum of cash.

North Point Precinct

Robbery: A woman, 56, was walking in the 9900 block of Trappe Road early Sunday when two men stepped from a gray car and robbed her of her purse containing cash and personal property.
