Thales Communications promotes Leighton

Thales Communications Inc. promoted Ken Leighton to director of tactical communications product management for the Clarksburg-based electronic communications company. He is responsible for business development for the company's tactical radio products.

Formerly with Harris RF Communications, the Damascus resident earned his undergraduate and master's degrees in engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Byrdsong-Clark, Floyd, Maier join Benelogic

Benelogic LLC hired Alisa Byrdsong-Clark and Greg Floyd as client service specialists and Jared Maier as an implementation analyst for the Timonium software applications and services provider.

Byrdsong-Clark is a graduate of Hamilton University and previously was with the Smart Corp. Floyd was a consultant with Verizon and is attending Phoenix University. Maier is a graduate of York College.

Gontrum is counsel with Whiteford, Taylor

Whiteford, Taylor & Preston LLP, a Baltimore-based regional law firm, announced that John B. Gontrum joined the firm's real estate and land use practice.

Formerly with Romadka & Gontrum, where he was founding partner, he is a law graduate of Duke University. Gontrum lives in Kingsville and is active in the Baltimore County Bar Association and serves on the boards of Franklin Square Hospital and the YMCA of Central Maryland.

Bray is RWD president of Enterprise Systems

RWD Technologies, with headquarters in Baltimore, named Michael Bray president of its Enterprise Systems group. Bray was also elected to a seat on RWD's board of directors.

With the company since 1995, Bray was most recently senior vice president for the Enterprise Systems group.
