Dolores R. Johnson, 70, mall store manager

Dolores R. Johnson, a former Glen Burnie Mall store manager who later became a clerical employee for the Anne Arundel County Circuit Court, died of complications from diabetes Friday at her Glen Burnie home. She was 70.

Born Dolores Wright in Baltimore, she was a graduate of Southern High School. She managed Hot Sam's Pretzels at Glen Burnie Mall for 20 years before going to work in the courthouse in 1988. She retired in 1996.

Mrs. Johnson was an avid reader of novels and biographies.

In 1952, she married George F. Johnson III, a recreation supervisor for the Anne Arundel Department of Recreation and Parks who died in 1999.

Mrs. Johnson was a communicant of the Roman Catholic Church of the Crucifixion, 100 Scott Ave., Glen Burnie, where a Mass of Christian burial will be offered at 11 a.m. today.

Survivors include two sons, Anne Arundel County Sheriff George F. Johnson IV of Pasadena and Michael J. Johnson of Millersville; three daughters, Kim D. Smith of Glen Burnie, Sharon A. Glacken of Reno, Nev., and Barbara L. Emrick of Stevensville; her mother, Rubinette Dolan of Glen Burnie; a sister, Irene Fleishell of Pasadena; and 11 grandchildren.
