Ten United Methodist churches in the Hampstead-Manchester area are getting together for a community concert at 7 p.m. Sunday at North Carroll High School.
Three mass-choir pieces, directed by Donna Wright and accompanied by Jeff Horner, will be sung by the combined choirs of St. John's, Shiloh, Mount Zion, Emory, Salem, Greenmount, Grace, Miller's, Bixler's and Wesley churches.
Each church will present two more musical selections.
An offering will be taken to benefit the Northeast Social Action Program, an ecumenical Christian social service agency serving the needy in northeast Carroll County.
The high school is at 1400 Panther Drive, Hampstead.
Lions Club schedules basket bingo for April 5
Lineboro-Manchester Lions Club will hold basket bingo April 5 at the Manchester activities building on York Street.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. and games will start at 7 p.m.
The evening will include 20 games plus raffles and specials.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door.
Music boosters to hold benefit basketball game
North Carroll High School Instrumental Music Boosters will hold its annual benefit basketball game with the disc jockeys from radio station WYCR-FM (also known as 98 YCR) at 7 p.m. April 5 in the school gymnasium.
The disc jockeys will play against students and faculty.
Tickets are $3 in advance and $4 at the door. Children younger than age 5 are admitted free. Proceeds benefit indoor percussion and the color guard.
Food will be sold and prizes awarded.

5-K run, 2-mile walk set at Shiloh Middle School
The Shiloh Middle School Student Government Association is sponsoring its second Joanne Lynam Memorial 5-Kilometer Run and Walk starting with registration at 7 a.m. April 12.
The run will begin at 8 a.m. and the walk at 8:10 a.m. The walk has been shortened to two miles and will be held on roads that accommodate strollers and wheelchairs.
Participants will receive a 5-K T-shirt with their $10 registration fee.
Advance registration is recommended, but not required.

Library offering programs of family, bedtime stories
North Carroll library branch, 2255 Hanover Pike, Greenmount, will offer:
"Year-round Family Story Time" for all ages (age 3 and younger must be with an adult) at 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday and 10 a.m. every Thursday.
"Bedtime Stories" for all ages (age 3 and younger with an adult) at 6:45 p.m. today on "Not So Scary Monsters" and April 2 on "Alphabet Soup." Stories, a craft and music will be featured.
