On Wednesday, March 19, 2003, GORDON HENRY HANKEY SR, age 79, of Newburgh, Indiana, formerly of Baltimore, MD, passed away at his daughter's residence. Gordon went home to be with Jesus at the home he shared with his daughter Eileen and son-in-law Mike. He was preceded in death by his wife, of 56 years, Lucille. He will be dearly missed. He was a proud Marine serving his country in WW II and Quadalcanal and Pelelliu. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters Union Local No. 486. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-laws Eileen and Mike Graham of Newburg, Indiana, Jayne and Martin Levinson of Gumboro, Delaware; two sons and daughter-in-laws Gordon and Debi Hankey Jr. of Naperville, IL, Paul and Cathy Hankey of Lynchburg VA; one brother George Hankey of Baltimore, MD.; twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to call Loring Byers Funeral Directors Inc., 8728 Liberty Rd (2 miles W. of Beltway exit 18B) on Friday, March 21, from 6 to 9 P.M. A Funeral Service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, March 22 at 10:30 A.M. Interment to follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions to the VNA Hospice, 610 E.
