D.C. Home and Garden Show


Believe it or not, spring is just around the corner. So if you're looking to ready your home and garden for the new season, stop by the Washington Home and Garden Show at the Washington Convention Center today through Sunday.

Browse more than 700 exhibits for everything from garden fountains and peppermint plants to hot tubs and satellite radios. See more than two dozen full-sized landscaped gardens, created by some of the Washington area's leading gardeners, including a garden with cascading waterfalls and an English country garden.

Find orchids, bonsai and tropical plants for sale. Learn about remodeling your bathroom or kitchen. Watch demonstrations on adding a wine cellar to your home or building a cedar closet. Or simply gather information on hiring a professional for a home-improvement job. Exhibitors and experts from 41 states and around the world will offer items and information.

The Washington Home and Garden Show runs 11 a.m.-9 p.m. today-tomorrow, 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday at the Washington Convention Center, 900 9th St. N.W., Washington. $4; free for ages 5 and under with paying adult. Call 703-823-7960.
