LEAH GAY BYORICK, 86, formerly of Middle River, ended her earthly journey on Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Ken Christians, of Fredericksburg, VA. One of thirteen children, she was born July 31, 1916, in Swandale, WV. She was a homemaker and preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Clem B. Byorick, in 1996. She was a member of Middle River Baptist Church for 45 years. Besides her daughter, she is survived by a granddaughter Donna Michelle Stevens and her husband Thomas of Wilmington, DE; A grandson Scott Alan Weinberger and his wife Kelly of Morrisville, NC; one great-grandson, Greyden Thomas Stevens; three sisters, Velma (Vee) Tippett, of Tennessee, Ernestine (Ernee) Turner, and Jann Hamrick Wagner, both of Georgia and two brothers Charles Hamrick, of Oklahoma and Emmett (Jeff) Hamrick, of Tennessee. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 P.M., Saturday, March 1, 2003, at the Bruzdzinski Funeral Home, P.A. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service. Burial will be in Gardens of Faith Cemetery.
