Association chooses Goodier site to launch its safety campaign

The National Association of Home Builders has chosen Goodier Builders' Emerson job site to launch its "Make Safety A Priority" campaign. The educational program is designed to promote job safety among homebuilders nationwide.

Goodier, of Columbia, has been building in Howard County and surrounding areas since 1985. Its projects include single-family homes and townhouses in the Emerson and gated Stone Lake communities.

Rainmaker to manage Van Ness North renovation

The Rainmaker Group, a residential and golf-course development company in Columbia, has been retained to provide project management for the estimated $13 million renovation of the Van Ness North Cooperative building in Washington.

The brick structure, built in 1966, includes the 16-story, 466-unit apartment building with public areas, a pool area, a three-story underground garage and surrounding grounds.

Job-search program to be held at library

The central library, 10375 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, will offer "Job Search Tools at the Library," a discussion of databases, Web site and periodicals and a tour of the business and career sections, at 7 p.m. March 12.

Registration, which is required, will begin Wednesday.
