Man shot leaving bus returning from trip to Atlantic City

PAROLE - Police were searching for a gunman in a shooting early yesterday that wounded an Annapolis man returning from a bus trip.

Eric Woodlin, 29, of the first block of Bunche St. was confronted by a gunman shortly after 1 a.m. in the parking lot of Parole Plaza on Solomon's Island Road, Anne Arundel County police said.

Woodlin, who was returning from Atlantic City, N.J., was shot several times in the right side shortly after he got off a tour bus, police said. He was in serious condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

The assailant, who was wearing a black hooded sweat shirt and baseball hat and had a bandana over his face, ran north toward West Street, police said.

Churchville man, 75, dies of injuries from car crash

CHURCHVILLE - A 75-year- old Churchville man died early yesterday of injuries from a weather-related car crash in the 400 block of Priestford Road, according to state police.

Frederick Theodore Huna was driving north on Priestford Road, near East Medical Hall Road, about 5:20 p.m. Saturday when his 1993 Buick Century was hit by a southbound 1997 Lincoln Town Car that hydroplaned and crossed the center line, police said.

Huna died shortly after midnight at Maryland Shock Trauma Center. The driver of the Lincoln, Garrett Paige Tollenger, 49, also of Churchville, was released after treatment at Harford Memorial Hospital, police said.
