On Wednesday, February 19, 2003, DR. SAMUEL DIENER (age 92), of Annapolis, MD and formerly of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of Mary Diener. Predeceased by his devoted wife of many years, Beatrice Diener. Loving father of Ina Diener Levy (her fiancee', Richard L. Staub), Charlottesville, VA and Daniel S. (Jewel) Diener of Potomac, MD. Cherished grandfather of Leslie (Sean) Rising, Steven (Catherine) Applestein, Allison (David) Perlmutter and Brian Diener. Adored great-grandfather of Matthew and Ashley Perlmutter, Haley and Benjamin Rising and Reid Applestein. Also survived by six stepchildren, nine step-grandchildren and eight step great-grandchildren. Daniel and Jewel Diener will welcome relatives and friends at thir hom following interment services until sundown. Shiva will be observed at his late residence on Sunday and Monday. Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M., on Friday, February 21, in Congregation Kneseth Israel, 1125 Spa Road, Annapolis, MD 21401.
