RALPH ABBOTT HAMER, III, age 42, of Rehoboth Beach, DE., died unexpectedly, at home in his sleep, on Thursday February 13, 2003. Born in Baltimore, MD he was a retired Military Policeman and Commercial Debt Financier. Ralph moved to Rehoboth nearly five years ago and found a special place to call home. He was an avid golfer, great dancer and loved singing and live music. He lived for long summer days golfing and cool summer nights on the Rudder Deck dancing with friends and family. He was a loving father, devoted brother and son and loyal friend. Ralph was an extremely generous person who could always put a smile on your face. He embraced and lived his life to the fullest. He is survived by three children Christopher, Allison and Lisa; his father Ralph Hamer, Jr. of Rehoboth Beach and ten brothers and sisters Beth Burba, Jeff Hamer, Amy Czyzia, Dee Hamer, Dave Hamer, Dan Hamer and Susan Hamer, all of Rehoboth Beach, Steve Hamer of Fort Worth, TX., Lisa Lafferty of Orlando, FL. and Kathy Taylor of Phoenix, AZ. He was predeceased by his mother Willa Mae Hamer in March 2002. A Viewing will be held on Wednesday February 19, 2003 from 7 to 9 P.M. at Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 1449 Kings Highway, Lewes. The Funeral Services will be held on Thursday February 20, 2003 at 2:00 P.M. at Epworth Methodist Church, 30 Baltimore Avenue, Rehoboth Beach, DE., with Rev. Jack Abel officiating. A celebration of Ralph's life will be held on Thursday February 20, following the service, at Arena's Bar & Deli, 149 Rehoboth Avenue in Rehoboth Beach. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested for his children's college fund.
