On February 10, 2003, HUGH GORDON VANCE, of Westminster, MD, died suddenly. Dr. Vance was 78 years old. He taught analytical chemistry at Morgan State University for 30 years. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 50 years, Grace Margaret Vance, one son, Andrew Hugh Vance and his wife Sandra L. Vance and two grandchildren Jared Vance and Emily Vance of Finksburg, MD. A joyful memorial service will be held at Liberty Reformed Presbyterian Church at 11301 Liberty Road, Owings Mills, MD, on Thursday at 7 P.M.
