Thefts from vehicle: Four cars parked on streets between Little Italy and Fells Point were broken into over the weekend, and items valued at more than $1,000 were stolen. In the 200 block of President St., a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier was entered, and a compact disc player was stolen. On the same street, a gym bag containing a passport was removed from a 1997 Jeep truck. In the 600 block of S. Caroline St., someone stole a compact disc player from a 1995 Saturn. Two pool cues and their cases were taken from a 1990 Honda in the 1000 block of Fawn St.
Drug arrest: Plainclothes Officers Shawn Frey and Brandon Schaekal arrested Shawn Nolan, 24, at his home in the 5000 block of Frederick Ave. on Thursday and seized cocaine and marijuana valued at nearly $8,000, and $6,000 cash. Nolan was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
Shooting: An 18-year-old man was walking in the 900 block of N. Chester St. about 3:15 p.m. yesterday when an unknown assailant shot him in the head and lower back, seconds before a blue car sped away. The victim was in serious condition at Johns Hopkins Hospital.
Cutting: A 31-year-old man walked into Johns Hopkins Hospital about 3:10 a.m. yesterday bleeding from cuts to his chest and right wrist. Witnesses told police the man was sitting in a car in front of Chester's Tavern in the 700 block of N. Chester St., and emerged from the vehicle alone, complaining of being cut.
Double shooting: Several people were attending a party in a house in the 2500 block of Salerno Place about 3:15 a.m. when a man outside fired several shots into the dwelling, hitting a woman, 43, in the buttocks, and a male, 17, in the foot. The woman was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center and the youth at University of Maryland Medical Center.
Burglary: Someone broke into the outside bathroom of a Getty gas station in the 8200 block of Liberty Road early Saturday, smashed through a wall to get inside the station, and stole 300 cartons of cigarettes.
Vandalism: Someone scrawled a racial slur on an apartment door in the 8700 block of Loch Bend Drive on Saturday night.
