Baltimore City

Southern District

Drug arrests: Two women were arrested about 8:20 a.m. yesterday on northbound Interstate 95 near Brooklyn and charged with transporting $150,000 worth of marijuana in two 50-pound bricks found in their car by Officers Keith Autry and Edwin Merritt of the Maryland Transportation Authority Police. They stopped the car because of a missing license tag. Also seized was $2,000. Charged were Maria C. Cartagena, 33, of Bronx, N.Y., and Jillian Scott, 25, of Stone Mountain, Ga.

Southwestern District

Shooting: Ronald Coleman, 51, was shot in the chest about 12:30 a.m. yesterday in his apartment in the 3900 block of Stokes Drive, during an argument with another man. He was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center for a minor wound.

Baltimore County

Parkville Precinct

Robbery/arrests: A woman, 76, was walking in the 7600 block of Belair Road about 3:40 p.m. Wednesday when a man stole her purse and fled in a 1994 Ford van occupied by another man and a woman. Later, the trio are accused of trying to rob two other women of their purses. Police spotted the van on Ellen Road off Satyr Hill Road and arrested the occupants, all residents of Port Deposit in Cecil County. Charged with robbery and attempted robbery were Ryan White, 23, and Autumn Hickey and David Hall, both 24.

North Point Precinct

Arrest: A 20-year-old man stopped by Officer Milton Bridgers for reckless driving of a moped on Merritt Boulevard about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday gave a false name, but was identified through fingerprints and found to be wanted in New York City on a narcotics offense. He was held for extradition.

White Marsh Precinct

Bank robbery: A man gave a teller at Bank of America in the 8700 block of Satyr Hill Road a holdup note about 9:20 a.m. Wednesday and escaped with an undisclosed sum of money. A dye pack concealed in the money detonated outside as the man entered a greenish-gold car occupied by another man.

Essex Precinct

Burglary: Diamond jewelry, gold watches and video games -- all valued at $11,700 -- were stolen Wednesday from a house in the first block of Eiffel Court.
