An Arundel High School English teacher and drama coach awaiting trial on charges of abusing a male student has resigned, an Anne Arundel County school official said yesterday.

Lawrence Alan Mintline Jr., 36, of Glen Burnie was accused of having sexual contact with a 16-year-old last year. He submitted the resignation Jan. 14, before a scheduled disciplinary hearing, the official said.
