Bring your sweet tooth to the Baltimore Children's Theatre production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory at Slayton House and the Baltimore Museum of Art in February and March. It's a staged version of Roald Dahl's classic book about young Charlie Bucket's adventures at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.
Featuring all the favorite characters from the book -- Augustus Gloop, Violet Beauregarde, Veruca Salt, Grandpa Jo, Willy and Charlie -- the show stars local children and professional adult actors.
Baltimore Children's Theatre offers a tasty spin on the original story, with Dancing Candy Kisses handing out candy to audience members. The production also will feature new musical arrangements and a video screen that will show recorded TV interviews of "Golden Ticket" winners. Mark Andrew Beachy directs and produces the show. See Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on stage at 2 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Feb. 8 and at 2 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 15 at Slayton House, Wilde Lake Village Green, Columbia.
