Man stabbed in neck outside North Avenue carryout dies at hospital

A 51-year-old stabbing victim stumbled into a North Avenue carryout early yesterday, seeking help, and died minutes later at a hospital.

Cary Lee McKnight of the 100 block of E. North Ave. was outside New World Carryout in the 300 block of E. North Ave. about 12:10 a.m. when he was stabbed in the neck, police said.

McKnight collapsed inside after telling employees he had been stabbed by someone who tried to rob him. He died after being taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital.
