Meade's Lee can run in county meet

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Senior sprinter Anthony Lee, who will graduate at the end of the semester, will be allowed to compete with the Meade boys indoor track and field team at the Anne Arundel County championship meet on Jan. 31.

"The county championship takes place before the semester is over [Feb. 3]," said Marlene Kelly, the county's coordinator of athletics. "But he will not be eligible for the [Class 4A-3A Central] regionals [on Feb. 11] or states [on Feb. 18]."

The Sun reported Friday that Lee would miss the county meet. An All-County standout in outdoor track and field last spring, Lee is expected to run in the 55 and 300 meters and the 800 and 1,600 relays.
