Michel Nagle named board chairman of equestrian event

Michel Nagle, principal of Nagle & Zaller, a Columbia law firm, has been named chairman of the Columbia Classic Grand Prix's board of directors. The annual world-class equestrian event at Howard Community College raises money for student scholarships.

Other new members of the Grand Prix board are Thomas H. Akins of Margaret Smith Gallery; Rebecca Bafford of Columbia Art Center; Michael Greenebaum, Greenebaum and Rose Associates Inc.; Michael Haines of Howard County Economic Development Authority; Anne Johnson of Belmont Conference Center; Clarky Lucas of Ascend One; and Eric Stein of Decanter Fine Wines.

Brown appointed to board of housing foundation

Rochell Brown, an agent with Re/MAX Realty, Columbia, has been named to the board of the Partnership for Housing Foundation, founded by the Maryland Association of Realtors.

The foundation's mission is to help create home-ownership opportunities, through education and other programs, for immigrants, minorities and low- and moderate-income Maryland residents.

Because of a typographical error, the first name of the new chairman of the Columbia Classic Grand Prix's board of directors appeared incorrectly in "People on the Move" in Monday's Howard County edition. Michael Nagle is the new chairman. The Sun regrets the error.
