Man kidnapped, shot in head, hit by car

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A man in his 20s was being treated last night at Maryland Shock Trauma Center after being shot in the head, then struck by a car he tried to flag down to get help, Baltimore County police said.

Police, releasing few details, said they received a call about 9 p.m. reporting that an injured man was in the 6600 block of Falls Road, near Copper Mine Terrace and Robert E. Lee Park.

The man told police he was kidnapped at an unknown location by at least two men, driven to the Falls Road area, robbed and then shot. Police said the wounded man was trying to stop a passing vehicle on Falls Road when it struck him. The occupants returned to the scene and were questioned by police.

No arrests had been made, and the shooting remained under investigation early today.
