Baltimore County school officials were hopeful last night that a water main break would be fixed in time for Overlea High School to reopen today.
Kurt L. Kocher, a spokesman for Baltimore's Department of Public Works, said there were no guarantees.
The break, at Kenwood Avenue and Lillian Holt Drive, forced the school to cancel classes yesterday. A recording on the school's voice mail told parents and students to watch television or listen to the radio this morning to find out whether the school will reopen.
