East Columbia
Deer Chase: 10100 block, Kings Contrivance. Someone entered through a rear door Dec. 23 and stole $5,000 worth of jewelry and a pillowcase.
Tower Top: 6100 block, Long Reach. Four savings bonds were stolen from a residence Dec. 23.
Cloudleap Court: 8700 block, Long Reach. Someone entered an apartment through a sliding-glass door Dec. 26 and scrawled racial epithets onto the drywall. A 19-inch Sharp television, two pairs of Nike Air Jordan sneakers and video games were removed.
Eden Brook Drive: 7200 block, Kings Contrivance. A man was robbed of his cell phone as he walked home Monday.
West Columbia
Little Patuxent Parkway: 10300 block, Town Center. Two men approached a 17-year-old in a parking garage on Christmas Eve. One put his arms around the victim's neck and demanded money. The youth gave him $50, and the pair fled.
Cradlerock Way: 6800 block, Owen Brown. On Dec. 27, a Cradlerock Mart employee found a man behind the counter who brandished an 8-inch knife and removed cash from the register.
Ellicott City/Elkridge
Old Woodstock Lane: 7700 block, Ellicott City. A man entered a townhouse through a basement sliding door Dec. 27 and removed a "snake" light.
Tolling Clock Way: 10500 block, Wilde Lake. A man came home and found an intruder in dark clothing and a black ski cap going through his wife's purse yesterday. The intruder dropped the purse and fled.
Western Howard
Frederick Road: 11700 block, Mayfield. Someone stole $800 worth of lottery tickets from the Foster's Country Store between Saturday and Monday.
