A York, Pa., woman who authorities allege was a passenger in a stolen sport utility vehicle that eluded police in two states before crashing Friday night in Parkton, killing the driver, faces a series of criminal charges, Baltimore County police said yesterday.

Lisa A. Toledo, 25, of the 400 block of N. George Ave. was being held at Baltimore County Detention Center in lieu of $100,000 bond after being charged with burglary, destruction of property and unlawfully taking a motor vehicle, said Officer Shawn Vinson, a police spokesman.

Patrick G. Thomason, 32, of the 400 block of Linden Ave. in York was identified yesterday as the SUV driver who was killed in the crash.

The accident ended a day of police chases for Thomason, who was wanted in Pennsylvania for forgery and eluding police.

On Friday afternoon, York police chased a Nissan Pathfinder that Thomason was driving south on Interstate 83 to the Maryland line. Baltimore County police did not give chase, Vinson said.

County police notified York, Pa., police after finding the stolen Pathfinder. Thomason had abandoned the vehicle after breaking into a house in the 17000 block of Evna Road, stealing the keys to a Ford Expedition and driving off in the Expedition, police said.

Thomason and Toledo drove back to Pennsylvania, where York police chased the pair south on I-83 to the Maryland line, Vinson said. Baltimore County police again did not give chase, but soon found the stolen SUV at the crash site, near Dairy and York roads.

Toledo was treated at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
