Southwestern District
Shooting: A 28-year-old man was walking in the 3400 block of Edmondson Ave. about 1:15 p.m. yesterday when another man approached from behind and shot him in the left side and left leg with a handgun. The victim was taken to Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
Southern District
Shooting/arrest: An 8-year-old boy riding his bicycle in the 500 block of Maude Ave. was shot in the left shoulder and chest with a paintball gun Friday afternoon but was not injured. Police arrested a 14-year-old boy and charged him as a juvenile with first-degree assault. He was released to his parents.
Stolen vehicle: A 1992 Dodge van with tags M716499 was stolen Saturday in the 3800 block of Sixth St.
Northeastern District
Robbery: A woman, 57, was about to enter the back door of her home in the 1000 block of E. 36th St. about 9 p.m. Saturday when she noticed a man standing in the alley. The woman told police the man said he was looking for 36th Street, then grabbed her and forced her inside. Implying he had a gun, the man robbed her of a purse containing money and credit cards.

Garrison Precinct
Robbery: Police were seeking three men who broke into an apartment in the first block of Sesame Court about 2 a.m. Saturday, threatened the occupant and two guests with a sword, and stole video games, three watches, a purse, two cellular phones and knives.
Stolen vehicle: A gray 1991 Acura Legend with agriculture tags A041291 was stolen Saturday in the 6900 block of Millbrook Park Drive.
Cockeysville Precinct
Robbery: A man, 71, was stepping from his car in the 1300 block of York Road about 6:15 p.m. Saturday when a gunman robbed him of his wallet containing cash and credit cards. The gunman fled in a black four-door Lincoln driven by a second man. Later, the victim's credit card was used to withdraw $500 from an ATM at First Union Bank in the 5700 block of Reisterstown Road.-
