Real estate group honors Alden as member of year
Barbara Alden, vice president and director of property management with Columbia-based Manekin LLC, received the "Member of the Year" Award from CREW-Baltimore, which promotes the business interests and professional advancement of women in the commercial real estate industry. The group provides educational and networking opportunities and contributes resources to support the community.
Alden, who oversees property management and personnel in Manekin's Baltimore, Columbia and Frederick offices and is responsible for developing new regional property management business, has served as a board member and chairman of CREW-Baltimore's programs committee for several years.
Selfridge to lead builders' organization
Jim Selfridge has been named president of the Howard County Chapter of the Home Builders Association of Maryland. The Glenwood resident, who is owner and president of Selfridge Builders in Glenwood, will serve his second term as president of the Howard County Chapter.
The Home Builders Association of Maryland is a not-for-profit housing industry advocate.
