Man is killed in fire at house in Rosemont

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A man was killed last night when fire engulfed a three-story house in Rosemont, Baltimore County fire officials said.

A woman and her two adult children were able to flee the house in the 3700 block of Pansy Ave., near Daisy Avenue and Annapolis Road, said Fire Lt. Calvin Bell.

One of the occupants told firefighters that her husband was trapped inside the building, part of which collapsed, Bell said.

It was unclear whether anyone else was trapped in the house, he said.

Firefighters continued to fight the fire more than two hours after it was reported at 9:22 p.m., Bell said. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
