King scholarship breakfast to benefit Morgan State fund

The 18th Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Scholarship Breakfast will be held Jan. 4 at Martin's West, 6817 Dogwood Road in Woodlawn.

The speaker will be Harry E. Johnson Sr., general president of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the country's oldest African-American fraternity. The Morgan State University choir and jazz ensemble will perform.

The event, from 9 a.m. to noon, is sponsored by the Howard L. Cornish Metropolitan Baltimore Chapter of the Morgan State Alumni Association. Tickets are $40, and proceeds will benefit the chapter's scholarship fund. Information: 410- 461-3931.
