A 49-year-old Silver Spring woman was killed Tuesday evening in a hit-and-run traffic collision in Norwood, according to Montgomery County police.

Neris Roldan was driving a Saturn on Norbeck Road near Drury Road about 7:10 p.m. when a GMC pickup truck traveling in the opposite direction failed to negotiate a curve and struck her vehicle. The driver of the truck fled the accident scene, police said.

Roldan, of the 2600 block of Antler Court, was trapped inside her vehicle for a short time. She was freed and taken to Prince George's Hospital Center in Cheverly, where she died from her injuries.
