Baltimore City

Southern District

Bank robbery: Two men, apparently unarmed, entered Allfirst Bank in the 3400 block of Annapolis Road about 10:15 a.m. Tuesday and gave the manager a note demanding money. The pair left moments later with a bank bag containing an undisclosed sum.

Shooting: A man was standing near West Baltimore Street and South Carrollton Avenue about 6 p.m. Tuesday when another man shot him in the back. The victim was reported in good condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

Burglary: Someone broke into Fantasies Nightclub in the 5500 block of Pennington Ave. through the front door early Monday and removed an undisclosed sum of money from a safe and an ATM.

Theft from vehicle: Five vials of the tranquilizer diazepam were stolen Monday from a city Fire Department ambulance parked in the firehouse in the 4300 block of Maude Ave.

Southeastern District

Theft: A fiber-optic test kit, meters, scope testers and other optical equipment - all valued at nearly $39,000 - were stolen Monday from a truck owned by Jenuity Co., while it was parked on company property in the 100 block of S. Eden St. Police said two males were viewed on a security camera stealing the property and were being sought.

Robbery: A man, 47, was walking in the 100 block of 5 1/2 St. about 1:15 p.m. Monday when a teen-age male he recognized as "Moosie" grabbed him around the neck and took $230.

Western District

Robbery/arrest: Walter Powell, 28, was in a restroom at Mondawmin Mall about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday when two teen-age males, one with a handgun, robbed him of $100 and a gold necklace valued at $400. Moments later, Powell spotted one of the robbers and alerted a security officer, who arrested a 16-year-old. The armed youth was not caught, however.

Shooting: Andre Brown, 41, of the 2100 block of Herbert St. was walking near his home about 12:10 p.m. Tuesday when another man shot him in the left side. He was reported in good condition at Shock Trauma.

Baltimore County

North Point Precinct

Theft: A man, 76, was visiting his wife's grave at Gardens of Faith Cemetery in the 5500 block of Trump's Mill Road on Monday when he noticed a $200 brass vase at the foot of the headstone had been stolen. Police said the theft occurred between Friday and Monday.

Robbery try/arrest: A woman was talking on a pay phone in the 7700 block of German Hill Road about 6 p.m. Monday when a man tried to steal her purse. When the woman resisted, the man drove away in a truck occupied by another male. The tag number was traced to a house in the 1900 block of Elton Ave., where police arrested Timothy Lehr, 27, who they said was the passenger in the truck. The driver was being sought.

Cockeysville Precinct

Robbery: A gunman robbed Freeland Wine & Spirits in the 20200 block of Middletown Road of more than $500 about 9:30 p.m. Monday.

Parkville Precinct

Assault: Two motorists were involved in a road rage incident on Goucher Boulevard near Loch Raven Boulevard about 1 p.m. Monday when the driver of an older-model sport utility vehicle pointed a handgun at the other driver before speeding away.
