Three people, including a boy, were wounded last night in two unrelated shootings in opposite parts of the city, police said.
About 8:30 p.m., a gunman opened fire in the 2100 block of Greenmount Ave., in the Barclay neighborhood, wounding a 12-year-old boy and a 36-year- old man - each in an arm. Both were taken by ambulance to Johns Hopkins Hospital for treatment.
Police said the boy is not thought to have been the gunman's intended target.
An hour earlier, a 26-year-old man was shot once in the head in the 2800 block of Lehman St., in Southwest Baltimore's Mill Hill neighborhood. He was reported in critical condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
No arrests had been made in either incident, and motives were unknown. The victims' names were not released.
