Pascal, Robin E.
ROBIN E. PASCAL died suddenly and unexpectantly on Friday, December 20, 2002 of heart failure. Robin was born in Baltimore and raised in Severna Park, where she was an outstanding gymnast and track star at Severna Park High School. After graduation in 1982 she attended Montreat-Anderson College and Corcoran Institute of Art in Washington D.C. She also attended Anne Arundel Community College. She married Ronald A. Zabiegalski with whom she had three beautiful children, Robert A., Ronald Benjamin and Marisa Jane Elizabeth Zabiegalski, now twenty, nineteen and sixteen respectively. Robin was an accomplished artist and was preparing to teach art in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Robin was known for her compassion and loving heart. She made two trips to Odessa, Ukraine to work with the Universal Aid for Children Program for thousands of Ukranian Orphans. The program was founded eight years ago by her sister Clara Jane Pascal. Robin sponsored several orphans personally. One young boy Sergei was adopted by a Virginia family last summer as a result of Robins efforts to help him for the last several years. She gave him a birthday party every year and paid for English lessons for him and his brother Dima. Sergei had not known his birthday until Robin researched his date of birth. Robin is survived by her parents Sen. Nancy Wainwright of Severna Park, MD and Pinecrest, CA and Sen. Robert A. Pascal of St. Michaels, MD; three sisters Catherine Anne Pascal, Margaret Lynn Pascal Grasmick and Clara Jane Pascal. She is also survived by her grandmother Rhoda C. Ware and two brothers-in-law Grant I. Grasmick and Ron A. Strom. She had eight nieces and nephews Sarah M., Matthew G. W., Joshua Pascal Grasmick and Margaret Elizabeth Grasmick, Zachary Pascal Strom, Hannah Pascal Strom and Samantha Pascal Strom and Luke Antonio Pascal adopted from a Ukranian Orphanage as a baby by her sister Clara Jane. All of her sisters participated with her in aiding the orphans including all three of Robins children, traveling to the Ukrain to work with many of the orphans helping to run a summer camp by the sea. Robin was beautiful, smart, talented and her laugh was irresistible. Her family will miss her forever, and they know she is in the arms of Jesus, her Lord and Saviour. Her last words, heard by her daughter Marisa, were It looks like heaven. Visitation will be held on Sunday 7 to 9 P.M. at the Barranco & Sons P.A.
