Benjamin Christopher Mondshour Jr., who worked in as a sales representative in the advertising department of The Sun before his retirement in 1980, died Thursday of a brain tumor at a hospice center near his home in Vero Beach, Fla.

He was 67.

Born in Baltimore, Mr. Mondshour was a member of Southern High School's Class of 1954. He graduated from the University of Baltimore with a bachelor's degree in business management and attended the University of Baltimore Law School.

Over the years he held a variety of jobs. He was a vice president of Maryland Fiber in Baltimore and sales manager of Hanover Canning Co. in Hanover, Pa. before he worked 12 years in the The Sun's advertising department.

He and his wife of 42 years, Carol Anne, moved to Vero Beach after he retired. There they opened Mondshour Gallery of Arts on North Hutchinson Island. His wife was the gallery's artist and Mr. Mondshour was its salesman.

Plans for services are incomplete.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Mondshour is survived by a sister, Joan Maben of Hampstead, and a nephew.
