Anchor Baptist presents cantata tomorrow, Sunday

Anchor Baptist Church will present The Gift of a Lifetime, a Christmas cantata, at 7 p.m. tomorrow and at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, 320 W. Pasadena Road in Millersville.

Directed by Ben Hickok, the cantata will be presented in a reader's theater format. It will include solos, duets, trios, quartets and the full choir.

On Tuesday, the church will hold its traditional Christmas Eve service. The worship will feature caroling, selected Scripture readings, a children's choir, a solo, a quartet and an instrumental duet.

Nursery care is available for each of these services.

Christmas celebration at Linthicum Baptist

The Linthicum Baptist Church will present an evening of Christmas Elegance tomorrow at the church, 611 S. Camp Meade Road.

The event begins with a ham and roast beef dinner at 6:30 p.m. Pianist Lenny Seidel and featured soloist Frank Osenbach will perform.

Advance tickets are required for the event.

The church also will hold a candlelight service at 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

Christian center plans breakfast, holiday musical

A men's fellowship breakfast will be held at 8 a.m. tomorrow at Old Country Buffet, at the corner of Ritchie Highway and Ordnance Road in Glen Burnie.

The Chesapeake Christian Center also will present a Christmas musical, Candy Cane Lane, at 6 p.m. tomorrow and at 6 p.m. Sunday at the church, 7975 Tick Neck Road in Pasadena.

Blue Christmas:

Christ the Servant Lutheran Church will hold a Blue Christmas service at 4 p.m. Sunday. The church's annual cookie reception will be held at 10 a.m. Christmas Day in the church hall. The traditional Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Christmas Day. Christmas Eve:

Three Christmas Eve services will be held at Community United Methodist Church beginning at 5 p.m. with the family and children's service. A contemporary service featuring the witness bank will be held at 7 p.m., and a traditional candlelight service will be held at 11 p.m. and include music by the Jubilate Bells and Chancel Choir. Twelfth Night:

St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church continues its concert series with the Twelfth Night Epiphany Festival and Worship and Feast, beginning at 5 p.m. Jan. 5. Reservations are required. The Arundel Vocal Arts Society Winter Concert is at 3 p.m. Jan. 12; cost is $15. 410-263-4723.
