Police were searching yesterday for a Westminster man who was last seen Friday afternoon, when he made a delivery to a gas station in Pasadena, authorities said.
Police in Anne Arundel County were checking routes typically driven by Michael T. Yeagle, 45, a delivery driver for Frito-Lay Inc., and were talking to his co-workers and people who saw him at an Exxon station at northbound Route 2 and Jumpers Hole Road, said Officer Charles Ravenell, a spokesman for the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Police said Yeagle's truck was found on a parking lot behind that gas station.
Investigators found no obvious signs of foul play, Ravenell said.
Yeagle's wife, Donna Yeagle, filed a missing-person report Saturday afternoon with Westminster police, said Capt. Randy Barnes, a Westminster police spokesman. According to the report, Donna Yeagle last saw her husband about 6:30 a.m. Friday, when he was on his way to drop off his stepson for a before-school, day-care arrangement.
Yeagle made his last delivery on the route Friday about 1 p.m. to an Exxon station at northbound Route 2 and Jumpers Hole Road in Pasadena.
A co-worker looked for the truck and found it about 7 p.m. Saturday, unoccupied on a shopping center parking lot behind the gas station, in front of a former Ames store. The co-worker called police.
Ravenell would not release details on the condition of the truck or say whether anything had been taken from the vehicle.
Police said Yeagle frequented the Pasadena area, particularly the Greenhaven and Havenwood communities.
When the truck was found in Anne Arundel County, Westminster police turned over the missing-person report and the investigation to police there.
Anyone who sees Yeagle or has information about his disappearance is asked to contact Anne Arundel County's Eastern District police station at 410- 222-6145.
