She was an active school volunteer, held leadership position in both the Woman of the Moose (Chapter 55) and Order of the Eastern Star and was an accomplished Duck Pin Bowler. ROBERT A. GUMMER, 89, formerly of Manlius, NY., died on December 15, 2002, survived by his loving wife Elenora (Frist), (nee Pronek); loving father of Margaret Hepner and her husband Dan, and Bernard Frist and his wife Libby; devoted grandfather to nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; dear brother of Alice May and the late Beatrice Dawley. Also survived by many close nieces and nephews. Robert (Bob) Gummer was an engineer on the Patapsco and Back River Railroad, retiring in 1973. He owned and operated Gummer Roofing, since 1958, which subsequently became a father and son business, now expanded to Gummer Slate Co. He was a member of the Moose Club # 537. On Saturday December 14, 2002 , LOUIS LUDWIG WERNER, age 85, died at the Manokin Manor Nursing Home in Princess Anne. Born in Baltimore he was the son of the late Frederick F. Werner and Amelia Elizabeth Ludwig Werner. Mr. Werner retired as executive Vice President and General Manager of the Burt Machine Company in Baltimore. He was Pastmaster of Centre Lodge #108 AF & AM in Baltimore, KCCH in the Southern Jurisdiction, Scottish Rite Bodies, a member of Boumi Temple A.A.C.N.M.S., Beausant Commandary #8 of the York Rite, a member of the Royal Order of Scotland, York Rite, Past Grand Inspector, Past Deputy Grand Lecturer and past member of Board of Managers of Grand Lodge of Maryland AF & AM and assistant to three different Grandmasters. He was a member of Old St. Pauls Episcopal Church in Baltimore. He is survived by his wife Geneva Catherine Werner of Princess Anne; several nieces and nephews. Late brothers and sisters were Antonia Magness, Ruth Kirkwood, Charles Ross Werner, Clinton M. Werner, V. Emerson Werner and H. Blake Werner. A Funeral Service will be held Wednesday at 11 A.M. at Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne.
