Democrats hand delegation power to Prince George's
On Dec. 2, in an attempt to maintain the power they lost in the November election, the Anne Arundel County Democratic delegates voted to give three Prince George's County delegates voting rights with the Anne Arundel delegation.
District 21 represents only 5 percent of Anne Arundel County yet was given 20 percent of the voting power. This allows the Democrats to maintain control and dictate policy for the Anne Arundel County delegation.
This same group of Democrats voted in April to allow only one vote for the three District 21 delegates.
Why the change? To keep the power they lost at the hands of the voters of Anne Arundel County. The voters spoke loud and clear against the way the Democratic Party operates.
The Democrats, led by Mary Ann Love, gave the three Prince George's County delegates a disproportionate amount of voting power. Those three votes will control the money Anne Arundel County receives for education and other projects.
Who do you think they will support if the choice is money and projects for Anne Arundel County or Prince George's County? I think we all know where their allegiance lies.
It is amazing that our delegates, including the new speaker of the House, Del. Mike Busch, rolled over for Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller.
The court may have thrown Mr. Miller and his unconstitutional redistricting plan out of Anne Arundel County, but his Democratic minions in our delegation dutifully gave him back power and control.
The Democrats have sold out Anne Arundel County at the expense of their constituents and performed a great disservice to us all.
