Anderson installed as president of AACAR for 2003

Ron Anderson, sales associate with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage's Severn office, was installed as the 2003 president of the Anne Arundel County Association of Realtors this month.

Anderson, a 13-year real estate veteran, is a member of the National Association of Realtors, the Maryland Association of Realtors and the Real Estate Buyers Agent Council. He was president-elect this year and treasurer last year. The Severn resident also has served as chairman of the AACAR state legislative committee.

Nicki Kaukonen, branch vice president with Coldwell's Ellicott City/Chatham office, was inducted as president-elect of the group.

Kaukonen, a Severna Park resident, is a 24-year real estate veteran and was the association's treasurer this year. She also has been selected by the National Women's Council of Realtors as a 2003 Maryland governor for the group.

Montgomery Co. nursery honored by contractors

The Associated Builders and Contractors of Metropolitan Washington named Ruppert Nurseries as its sitework/landscaping subcontractor of the year in this year's "Excellence in Construction" awards program.

The company, which has won the award five times, is a 300-acre wholesale tree nursery in Montgomery County.

Gulick Group of Va. to build in Potomac

Gulick Group, a Northern Virginia builder, plans to begin putting up a series of homes in Potomac next year.

The builder constructs homes in Fairfax and Loudoun counties in Virginia.
