Southwestern District
Drug arrest: Plainclothes Officers Fred Roussey Jr. and Frank Friend were in the 2600 block of W. Fairmount Ave. about 2 p.m. Tuesday when they observed a man in possession of drugs. Recovered from the man were 100 gelatin capsules of heroin and 40 vials of crack cocaine -- all valued at $1,400. Charged with simple possession of heroin and cocaine and possession with intent to distribute the narcotics was Stephen McGraw, 20, of the 800 block of Druid Park Lake Drive.
Arson: Someone used a flammable liquid to set a 1995 Mazda with tags HLN 621 on fire while it was parked Tuesday night in the 600 block of S. Bentalou St. The car sustained extensive damage.
Southern District
Robbery try/shooting: A 33-year-old man was walking in the 1300 block of Hazel St. about 3:15 p.m. yesterday when a gunman attempted to rob him. During the attempt, the gunman shot the victim in the upper right leg. The gunman fled and the victim was treated at the scene. No arrest has been made.
Theft: Four tires and rims -- all valued at $1,900 -- were stolen Tuesday from a Mitsubishi parked in the 5600 block of Pennington Ave. in Curtis Bay.
Theft: Someone stole a man's ATM card in the 100 block of N. Greene St. on Tuesday and withdrew more than $400 from the victim's account.
Theft: A man, 28, entered Hynson Insurance in the 3800 block of S. Hanover St. on Tuesday and asked his mother, an employee, for $20. When the woman refused, the man grabbed a bank bag containing $230 and fled. A warrant was issued for the man's arrest.
Stolen vehicle: A 15-foot 2000 GMC cube-style truck with Indiana tags 180883 was stolen Tuesday from Penske truck rental in the 1700 block of Wicomico St. The keys were left in the ignition, police said.
Western District
Burglary: An entertainment center valued at $4,000 was stolen Tuesday from a house in the 1700 block of Edmondson Ave.
Theft from vehicle: Four wheel covers valued at $500 were stolen Tuesday from a 1998 Lincoln Town Car parked in the 2300 block of W. Lafayette Ave.

Theft from vehicle: An in-dash CD player valued at $500 was stolen Tuesday from a 1997 Mitsubishi Galant parked in the 800 block of Radnor Ave.

North Point Precinct
Theft: Tools valued at $2,320 were stolen Tuesday from a 1992 Dodge van parked in the 6800 block of Holabird Ave.
Towson Precinct
Burglary: Someone entered a student's dorm room in the Lewis Building at Goucher College in the 1000 block of Dulaney Valley Road on Monday and stole a portable computer valued at $1,000.
Woodlawn Precinct
Burglary: Video games, their accessories and coins -- all valued at nearly $400 -- were stolen Tuesday from the bedroom of a house in the 1100 block of Baker Ave. by someone who entered through a rear door.
