B. James Greenfield presenting sponsor at 6th Chocolate Ball
B. James Greenfield, president of Columbia Builders, is to be presenting sponsor for the Arc of Howard County's sixth Chocolate Ball on March 16 at the Kossiakoff Center, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory.
Greenfield received the Arc's 2001 Outstanding Individual Award. His contributions were recognized in a memorial to his late son, Mark, when the Arc named an interior courtyard in its Ellicott City headquarters, "Greenfields Cafe."
Former Columbia resident is campus chancellor
Robert Myers, a former resident of Columbia, has been named chancellor of the Extended Campus of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
As chief academic and administrative officer of the Extended Campus, he is responsible for planning, resource allocation and program evaluation, with emphasis on pursuing the noncredit education market.
Myers was executive vice president of University of Maryland University College (UMUC), and served as its interim president from 1998-1999. He was co-founder and member of the board of UMUC OnLine Inc.
Cheryl Casey promoted to account coordinator
Cheryl Casey of Medicalliance Inc., a medical education and marketing firm in Columbia, has been promoted to account co- ordinator for the AstraZeneca team.
She will work with the project manager to help plan, organize, budget and manage programs for AstraZeneca PLC, an international research-based pharmaceutical company.
