6 injured in collision on I-95

THE BALTIMORE SUN

Six people were injured last night in a three-vehicle crash that closed the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 in Aberdeen for more than an hour, state police reported.

Five of the injured, including four children, were flown to area hospitals while another was taken by ambulance, said Trooper Tim Leubecker.

The accident occurred about 9:35 p.m. near Ripken Stadium and was followed immediately by a second crash as a tractor-trailer hit the back of a Lexus whose driver had to stop because of the initial wreck, Leubecker said.

No injury resulted from the second crash, he said.
