Christmas concerts set at Community United
The Rev. Chris Holmes of the Community United Methodist will present the return of the Chancel Choir's Community Christmas Concert in the sanctuary at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 21.
Under the direction of music minister Harry Gray, the program will begin with selections by the Jubilate Bells. The 30-member Chancel Choir will present "The Wonder of Christmas, A Timeless Story," by Tom Fettke and Ken Bible. The cantata includes narration of the Christmas story together with familiar carols and original pieces.
The music will also be presented at the 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services Dec. 22.

St. Martin's Lutheran announces concerts
St. Martin's Evangelical Lutheran Church's concert series continues with Twelfth Night/Epiphany Festival and Worship and Feast, beginning at 5 p.m. Jan. 5. Reservations are necessary.
The Arundel Vocal Arts Society Winter Concert is at 3 p.m. Jan. 12; cost is $15. The U.S. Army Field Band Chamber Music Concert will be presented at 3 p.m. Feb. 2 and the Susquehanna College Choir will perform at 7 p.m. March 2.
All concerts are at the church, 1120 Spa Road in Annapolis. A donation of $5 per concert is suggested.

Methodist church to hold three services Dec. 24
Three services will be held at Community United Methodist Church on Christmas Eve beginning at 5 p.m. with the Family and Children's Service.
A Contemporary Service featuring the Witness Bank will follow at 7 p.m. A traditional 11 p.m. Candlelight Christmas Eve service will include music by the Jubilate Bells and Chancel Choir.

Tree of Lights ceremony:
Hospice of the Chesapeake Auxiliary's annual Tree of Lights ceremony will begin at 5 p.m. today at Our Lady of the Chesapeake Church, 8325 Ventnor Road, Pasadena. The ceremony is an opportunity to remember a loved one during the holiday season. The ceremony will begin with the lighting of the Tree of Lights, followed by meditation and music. For a contribution of $25, participants will receive a china star ornament hand-painted with the name of a loved one, and a dove bearing the name will be placed on a memory wall. 410-974-6506.
