Girl stabs boy, 15, in Pasadena

THE BALTIMORE SUN

A 13-year-old girl stabbed a 15-year-old boy in the back with a kitchen knife in Pasadena yesterday morning as the result of a feud between the teen-agers, Anne Arundel County police said.

"They had a little dispute and the little girl retaliated by stabbing him," said Officer Charles Ravenell, a county police spokesman.

The stabbing occurred about 10:18 a.m. in the 7700 block of Woodlawn Ave. after the boy threw snowballs at the girl and threatened her dog, police said.

The victim was transported to University Hospital in Baltimore, where he was listed as stable yesterday. He could not be reached for comment.

The girl was charged with first-degree assault and released to her parents, police said.

"I don't recall having any other stabbings involving teen-agers lately," Ravenell said.

He was not sure whether the two teen-agers had been left unsupervised by yesterday's school closings.
