Glenelg High moves its Winter Concert to Reservoir High
Because of construction on its new fine arts wing, Glenelg High School has moved its Winter Concert to a new venue: the Reservoir High School auditorium, 11550 Scaggsville Road, Fulton.
The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17 and will be repeated at the same time Dec. 18, to accommodate a larger audience.
Tickets are $5 and are available from any Glenelg music student or at the school office.

Reservoir High School will present its Winter Concert at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 12 and 13. A crafts show is planned before the concerts, at 6:30 p.m.
The school's introductory and intermediate dance classes will perform in a dance recital at 7 p.m. Dec. 19 in the atrium.

The Glenelg High School Jazz Ensemble will perform at 7 p.m. Dec. 13 in the New Weave Building at Savage Mill, Savage.
The ensemble has performed with Count Basie, Maynard Ferguson, Deanna Bogart and other distinguished jazz musicians.

Historical society to meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 16
The Savage Historical Society will meet at 7 p.m. Dec. 16 at the Faith & Ministry Center, 9032 Baltimore St., Savage.
The 2003 historical calendar, "Times to Remember," will be available.

Forum on elder care scheduled for Wednesday
Oseh Shalom Synagogue, 7515 Olive Branch Way, Laurel, is sponsoring forums on elder-care issues. The next forum, "Caring for Our Aging Parents - The Practical and Emotional Aspects," will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday.

Holiday workshops: Registration is being accepted for the South Laurel Recreation Council's holiday workshops for children, teen-agers, adults and families, scheduled this month at Montpelier Carriage House and Deerfield Run Community Center in Laurel. Children's workshops are for ages 6 to 12; ages 8 to adult may attend family workshops. The program began Sunday. 301-776-2805.
Holiday crafts: The Savage branch library, 9525 Durness Lane, will offer a workshop on making holiday greeting cards and decorations with stamp artist Terri Hesse at 2 p.m. tomorrow. Christmas carols: St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 11795 Scaggsville Road (Route 216) in Fulton, will hold its "Christmas Carols Around the World" concert at 4 p.m. Sunday. Actress Sara Todes will narrate stories about the carols, which will be sung in their original languages. St. Paul's is at 11795 Scaggsville Road (Route 216), one mile west of U.S. 29. Agewell exercise: Savage Senior Center, 9525 Durness Lane, is planning a Level One 50+ Agewell exercise class at 11 a.m. Wednesdays. The exercises can be done while standing or sitting.
