AGNELLO, Anthony F. ANTHONY AGGIE F. AGNELLO, age 54, died at his home on December 1, 2002. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of Raymond John and Michielina C. Panaro Agnello of Queens, New York. A jockey since 1966, he had retired from horse racing in 1993. With 3000 winning races in his career, purses of over $10 million, he rode all over the country including The Preakness. He was a resident of Harford County since 1970. In addition to his parents Mr. Agnello is survived by one son, Anthony Agnello, Jr. of Centerville, Maryland; one brother Benedict D. Agnello of Belcamp and his fiancee and long time companion, Sharon Fox of Belcamp. He was predeceased by one brother, Raymond Agnello. Graveside Service will be in St. Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery, Perryman, Maryland on Saturday, December 7, 2002 at 11 A.M. Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Charles L., Sr. and Genevieve A. (Scherer) Thompson; beloved husband of the late Mary F. (Connelly) Thompson, devoted father of Lawrence D. and his wife Susan Thompson, Deborah Shanklin-Janssen and her husband Paul, David A. and his wife Cathie Thompson, Jacqueline M. Thompson-Sparks and her husband Rostoum; cherished grandfather of Kyle, Wesley, Derek, Dawn, Kaitlyn, Amy, Melissa, Christopher, Timothy, Mary Beth, Brooke, David Jr., Amanda, Zachary and Brittany. He was preceded in death by grandson Daniel Ireton, caring great grandfather of three. Loving Uncle of Karl and Olga Monteiro and family. He is also survived by a host of friends and family members. Charlie served in the US Navy and went on to become a letter carrier in the Loch Raven Post Office and then the Parkville Post Office. He also worked at the A&P; as a grocery checker. He has been retired for many years. He was a talented artist, he had a beautiful, melodic, deep voice. He loved all kinds of music. He loved people and had a real soft spot in his heart for animals.
