If you've ever dreamed of drawing your sword, storming the castle and saving Princess Buttercup, you can come close to the experience Saturday at the Walters Art Museum.
"Medieval Merriment," a family festival held in conjunction with the exhibit The Book of Kings: Art, War, and the Morgan Library's Medieval Picture Bible, will be filled with activities such as medieval games, storytelling and swordplay demonstrations. Children can create their own medieval crown or helmet and try on suits of armor.
There will also be a juggler and a gymnast. And professionals will lead a cartooning workshop to help kids create their own story in pictures.
"Medieval Merriment" takes place 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the Walters Art Museum, 600 N. Charles St. Admission is free. Call 410-547-9000. --
