Ms Minner worked as a billing clerk for 25 years for Playtex in Dover, retiring in 1986. She was a cat breeder for 20 years and showed some of her best up and down the Eastern Shore. Dorothy moved to Pinellas Park, Florida after retirement. She acquired a passion for growing flowers while there and became an active member of the Orchid Society. She recently moved to Maryland in July to be closer to her family and remained there until her death. She was a member of the AARP. She is survived by two daughters; Donna J. Thompson-Sparks and her husband Rostoum; cherished grandfather of Kyle, Wesley, Derek, Dawn, Kaitlyn, Amy, Melissa, Christopher, Timothy, Mary Beth, Brooke, David Jr., Amanda, Zachary and Brittany. He was preceded in death by grandson Daniel Ireton, caring great grandfather of three. Loving Uncle of Karl and Olga Monteiro and family. He is also survived by a host of friends and family members. Charlie served in the US Navy and went on to become a letter carrier in the Loch Raven Post Office and then the Parkville Post Office. He also worked at the A&P; as a grocery checker. He has been retired for many years. He was a talented artist, he had a beautiful, melodic, deep voice. He loved all kinds of music. He loved people and had a real soft spot in his heart for animals.
