GIRLS
Sarah Tracey
Hereford, field hockey
The Bulls midfielder polished off a stellar four-year career with a strong performance for Team Maryland Riptide at the U.S. Field Hockey Association's annual Hockey Festival in Indio, Calif., over the weekend.
The Baltimore City/County Player of the Year helped the Riptide finish 2-4-1 in pool play. A two-time Team Marylander and a veteran of the USFHA's Olympic-development Futures Program, Tracey also was selected to play in the annual Maryland State High School Field Hockey Coaches Association Senior All-Star Game on Nov. 12 at the University of Maryland. With excellent stickwork and game sense, she would maintain control sometimes even with three or four defenders trying to strip the ball. She finished the season with six goals and 12 assists.
