West Columbia
Cradlerock Way: 7200 block, Owen Brown. A man armed with a handgun tried to rob a McDonald's restaurant Nov. 27 but fled before getting money.
Pamplona Road: 9500 block, Oakland Mills. Two people were walking Sunday when they were robbed of a wallet and a jacket at knifepoint by three people.
Avoca Avenue: 4800 block, Long Reach. Someone broke into a home and stole jewelry, a camera and clothing between Nov. 27 and Friday.
Stevens Forest Road: 5800 block, Oakland Mills. A credit card and jewelry were stolen from a home between Nov. 21 and 26.
Ellicott City/Elkridge
Baltimore National Pike: 8400 block, Ellicott City. A man entered Fraternity Federal Savings and Loan on Friday and announced a robbery. After getting money, the man, dressed in a olive-colored, puffy winter coat, dark baseball cap and sunglasses, fled in a small vehicle.
Washington Boulevard: 7600 block, Elkridge. A man staying at the Copper Stallion Inn Ltd. said he was robbed of his wallet Nov. 27 by a man with a gun.
Old Fredrick Road: 9400 block, Ellicott City. Someone broke into the Mount Hebron High School science lab between Nov. 18 and Thursday and apparently stole chemicals.
Centennial Lane: 4300 block, Ellicott City. Windows were smashed at Centennial High's science lab Nov. 27. It is unclear whether anything was stolen.

Mayflower Court: 9400 block, North Laurel. Someone stole cash and two bicycles from a home Nov. 27.
Riverbrink Court: 9400 block, North Laurel. Jewelry was stolen from a home Nov. 27.
Thamesmeade Road: 9100 block, Savage. A videocassette recorder, digital video disc player, telephone, tools and computer were stolen from an apartment Nov. 27.
